Prenatal and postnatal therapy

Prenatal and postnatal therapy

Psychotherapeutic support during pregnancy and after giving birth. Addressing concerns about the pregnancy or the well-being of the mother or baby, as well as maternal depression, anxiety and fears.

Certain milestones in life make women more susceptible to depression, anxiety or more serious mental disorders. Pregnancy, and the time following delivery in particular, can trigger distressing emotions.

The approach to treating the depression of an expectant or nursing mother is somewhat distinctive, with special emphasis on psychotherapeutic care. Medication is carefully considered and only prescribed when deemed absolutely necessary.
